The memorial traces twelve years of American History through a sequence of four outdoor rooms-each one devoted to one of FDR's terms of office. Sculptures inspired by photographs depict the 32nd President: A 10-foot statue shows him in a wheeled chair; a bas-relief depicts him riding in a car during his first inaugural. At the very beginning of the memorial in a prologue room there is a statue with FDR seated in a wheelchair much like the one he actually used. 900 Ohio Drive, SW Washington, District of Columbia

Comedian Teddy Carpenter, owner and operator of Teddy's House of Comedy, is flipping that script with his comedic vision. Nestled in the heart of Chinatown, between the Great Wall Seafood Restaurant and MVP's Sports Bar, Teddy's setting is unique for a comedy club. It’s small and intimate, with about 50 tables, and best of all, there’s not a bad seat in the house. Soft gray walls and candlelit tables make the mood mellow, and a small stage sits within inches of the first row of tables.
