Salina Theatre for Young People presents Bugsy Malone,
jr on July 9-11 at Salina Community Theatre.
It seems Fat Sam, who runs one of the most popular
speakeasies in town, is in danger of being closed down
by his “business rival” Dandy Dan. Enter Bugsy
Malone, a dashing ladies man and a definite asset to
Fat Sam. In this non-violent, pinstripe-wearing,
musical spoof, adapted from the 1970’s film, a cast of
young actors portrays Prohibition-era mobsters in a
tongue-in-cheek tribute to the 1920’s gangster flick.
Tickets are $8 for ages 12 and up/$6 for children
under 12. Call 827-3033 for ticket and performance
information.
